Vincent Wittenberg is a socially engaged public space designer and researcher. In his often unsolicited work, he reacts to locations, situations and plans, both physically and conceptually. Vincent works with an open and critical approach and act based on research. He graduated from the Design Academy’s Public Space department in 2009. In 2008 he worked as a trainee at ZUS [Zones Urbaines Sensibles] and co-founded VERS: Eindhoven’s first neighbourhood based ‘social design’ collective. He is currently working on a collaborative and award-winning project called Gewildgroei (Wantedweeds), which advocates a change in perspective regarding urban green and spontaneous vegetation.
